12 February - The Printing & Imaging Association of Georgia (PIAG) held its Annual Meeting at Turner Field’s 755 Club on Thursday, January 15. This annual program, held during Printing and Imaging Week, celebrates the birthday of printing’s patron saint Benjamin Franklin and the induction of the 2009 PIAG Board of Officers and Directors. This induction ceremony is especially significant for all involved with the association because the board of officers and directors, elected by the membership, governs PIAG with an all-volunteer commitment of their time and talent. The following gentlemen were inducted to the 2009 PIAG Board of Officers and Directors:

Over 100 attendees also enjoyed tabletops from the meeting’s sponsoring companies and two afternoon seminars presented by “Selling in Tough Times” author Linda Bishop, president of Thought Transformation. Special guest, PIA 2009 Chairman Ken Kaufman, presented his business views and strategies based on the success of his Maryland company, OMNIPrint Inc. In addition, 2008 PIAG Chairman Andy Shulman (Standard Press, Atlanta) shared his positive experience as a leader of the association and joined members in recognizing the entire 2008 PIAG Board for their outstanding service. Since 1894, The Printing & Imaging Association of Georgia (PIAG) has been the voice of one of the state’s largest manufacturing industries. PIAG currently represents over 400 printing and imaging firms throughout the state of Georgia. The association supports its members with a focus on education and services that aid business success, and promotes awareness of printing and imaging as a first choice medium among media buyers. PIAG recognizes printing and imaging as an integral part of daily life and as a result is also active in protecting the best interests of its members in government affairs at a state and national level.
