WorkflowOne Employee Foundation Announced Grants Awarded to a Variety of Non-Profit Organizations

19 January - The WorkflowOne Employee Foundation announced that the company has awarded grants to a variety of non-profit organizations in the Dayton, Ohio, community through the generosity of WorkflowOne’s local workforce in 2009.

The WorkflowOne Employee Foundation is an independent 501(c)3 organization that is funded by financial contributions from employees of Dayton-based WorkflowOne, a leading provider of print management, marketing and distribution services. The Foundation has given more than $750,000 to local non-profits since its inception in 2000.

Among grants given to local organizations from 2009 payroll deductions and the company match are:

·         A Special Wish Foundation - $3,500 for general support

·         Prevent Blindness Ohio - $3,500 for vision screenings of youth aged 15 to 21

·         Womanline - $2,500 for its “I Can Tell” training program to identify sexual abuse

·         Ronald McDonald House - $2,000 for equipment for nursing mothers

·         Children’s Medical Center - $3,000 for specialized bottles to feed infants with cleft palates

·         Hospice of Dayton - $2,000 to support its Healing Pathways grief counseling program for children

·         Clothes That Work - $1,500 for general support

During its recent ShareFair campaign, the Foundation raised over $56,000 in pledges for local 501(c)3 organizations to be collected throughout 2010. WorkflowOne’s employees also collected over 1,000 items of apparel and accessories for Clothes That Work, 700 food items for St. Vincent DePaul, and over 500 personal-sized toiletries for use by guests at the Ronald McDonald House.

In addition, WorkflowOne has partnered with Appleton Papers Inc. and Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley throughout 2009 to make an in-kind donation of sheeted paper for Crayons to Classrooms, a resource center for teachers from under-funded schools serving children who live in poverty. The finished paper products are available to teachers from qualifying and registered schools who can “shop” for free. Appleton Papers is supplying paper in rolls, WorkflowOne’s manufacturing facility in Coldwater, Ohio, is providing finishing services to cut them into usable sheets, and employees from Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley’s Work Experience Program shrinkwrap the paper into reams. WorkflowOne also donated four pallet loads of paper in December valued at over $9,500 to Crayons to Classrooms.
